Born in the Netherlands as the son of a Dutch artist, he began his creative journey as a jewelry designer before founding his own art studio 12 years ago, to pursue his true passion: creating art.
His first works focused on Skull Art, giving new life to original water buffalo, oryx, and longhorn skulls through engravings, metallizing techniques, the application of exotic leathers and Austrian crystals. Soon after, he expanded into Art Panels, crafted from handmade square elements sourced from 12 different countries and created in collaboration with more than 20 small enterprises, ensuring each piece was truly unique. These panels featured a wide range of materials, including shells, wood, dichroic glass, marble, lacquerware, exotic leather, horn, bone, silk, feathers, and Austrian crystals.
His latest creations include Fish Mania, large art panels featuring hand-engraved wooden fish sculptures, also available in a smaller “Fish Minia” edition. Koro Delft Blua follows, heart-shaped pieces made from Delft Blue pottery and porcelain. Another series, Koro Colori Fantasia, continues the heart-shaped theme but incorporates playful compositions made from colorful plastic toys.
